Weddings are such happy events and all the events leading to it help in building the excitement.
Peta-Gaye’s Kitchen had the pleasure of catering a luncheon shower for a beautiful bride to be, Shelby. As many guests were gluten free, great care was taken to create delicious appetizers, mains and sides that were gluten free and appealing to all.
Shelby’s lovely bridesmaids passed around the appetizer selections of : cucumber cups with dilled cream cheese and smoked salmon; cucumber cups with lemon garlic hummus drizzled with smoked olive oil; and Peta-Gaye’s ever popular layered smoked salmon spread that was served with watermelon radishes and gluten free crackers.
Lunch was Mediterranean themed with Chicken Marbella, juicy chicken thighs in a sweet and tangy sauce of wine, olives, apricots, figs, herbs and garlic; Gluten Free Pasta with Roasted Butternut Squash, Goat Cheese and Basil; and Summertime Caprese Salad of fresh peaches, roasted beets, fresh, creamy burrata, on a bed of arugula and drizzled with homemade basil oil and fig balsamic and scattered with candied pecans.
