What better way to celebrate Mother’s Day than with your son graduating with honors!

Congratulations to Frank for graduating Loyola Marymount University!

Thank you to his parents, Mario and Vanessa, for choosing Peta-Gaye’s Kitchen to cater the luncheon to celebrate this achievement.

Appreciated the text from the proud Mom: “What a day!!!! Such a fabulous celebration!! The mushrooms were definitely a hit – a favorite for sure. Everything was a hit but highlights were macaroni, mushrooms, salmon, deviled eggs and cookies. Thank you so much for making this day amazing!!”

I tried to capture photos of all, and then realized I forgot to take a few of them as I had wanted to wait until they came out of the oven and got busy setting them up on the chafers.

By all accounts, everything was enjoyed, with the top favorite appetizers being: the Mushrooms Stuffed with Sausage, Bacon, Cheese & Chive Deviled Eggs.  The favorite main entree items were the Salmon Provencal en Croute (salmon filets topped with sun-dried tomato, olive and caper tapinade and wrapped in puff pastry) and the Macaroni and Cheese. And of course the Malted Chocolate Chip Cookies were the favorite dessert, these cookies are always the crowd pleaser!

Nothing re-affirms to me why I do what I do, than receiving letters such as this from clients after an event:

“Dear Peta-Gaye,

I want to let you know how wonderful it was to have you cater Frank’s graduation.  I love to entertain and cook myself, but I was trying to figure how to host a reception for him, yet be a guest at my own son’s graduation.  You were simply the answer to my prayers.

I knew we were in good hands with you and that you had a “lay of the land” by visiting our home, but when I walked in and saw how everything was presented, it truly blew me away!

I felt so honored to host a meal that received endless compliments.  Your presentation and creative labels were a very nice touch.

When we were at LMU for the graduation I wasn’t nervous about coming home but excited to see what you had done.  Not to mention the house smelled AMAZING!!!!!

With gratitude,

Mario and Vanessa”
