Congratulations to the Toronto Raptors! Found a great sports bar to watch them win the NBA in Palm Springs

I moved to California from Toronto; I was living there when the Raptors came into being in 1995.  Having grown up most of my life in Toronto, how could I not root for them to win the NBA title for the first time ever?!!  And what an exciting game!!

As we were in Palm Springs, my husband and I found this small sports bar Revel Public House on S. Palm Canyon Dr., right in the heart of downtown.  We had seats at the bar and got excellent service from the bartender; she was always checking on us.

Seated next to me was a gentleman from San Francisco, so I told him upfront that I was from Toronto and I’d be cheering for the Raptors, the lady on the other side of him turns excitedly to me and says “so am I”!  He was a good sport about it all, but noticed that he had to go vape outside quite frequently in the 4th quarter : )!   The bar is small enough that there was friendly rivalry, but surprisingly quite a few folks cheering for the Raptors.

Now back to the bar, they offer a happy hour which includes a select list of cocktails from $9 to $12; I can recommend the “Skinny Dip”, a yummy refreshing, Keto-friendly concoction of Citron Vodka, lemon juice and club soda – perfect for quenching your thirst and keeping you cool on a hot night!  They also have a good selection of beers and wines.

The burgers are excellent, and you can even ask for a lettuce wrapped one to forego the bun.  I had mine with a yummy beet salad.

This pub is definitely on our bookmarked list of favorite food and drink establishments in Palm Springs!
